About Bob Cross

Photography has been a part of my life since I was about ten years old. What began as a childhood fascination grew into a lifelong passion for capturing the beauty of the world around us. Along the way, I found inspiration in the work of Ansel Adams, whose dramatic black-and-white landscapes continue to influence my own creative vision.

As a Colorado native, I've been fortunate to grow up surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery in the country. The mountains, plains, forests, and changing seasons have inspired countless adventures with a camera in hand. While I enjoy creating striking black-and-white images, I'm equally passionate about photographing breathtaking landscapes, wildlife, and the ever-changing beauty of nature.

Many of my favorite photographs are created while traveling with my wife as we explore scenic destinations together. Whether we're visiting a national park, discovering a quiet mountain road, or watching the light change over an unfamiliar landscape, every trip becomes an opportunity to experience nature and create lasting memories. I'm also fascinated by weather and astronomy photography, always looking for opportunities to capture dramatic skies, storms, sunsets, star-filled nights, and the wonders of the universe.

Over the years, my photographs have received recognition in several competitions, including awards in the Share the View photo contests, as well as honors from local photography clubs and online competitions. While those achievements are rewarding, the greatest satisfaction comes from knowing that others connect with and enjoy the images I've created.

For me, photography is more than simply taking pictures—it's about preserving moments, sharing experiences, and inspiring others to appreciate the beauty that surrounds us. I hope the photographs you find here encourage you to pause, explore, and see the natural world with fresh eyes.
